ABOUT STEVEN
Steven began his coaching career in 2019 with a focus on nutrition and lifestyle transformation. In addition to working with general lifestyle clients, he coaches high-level athletes preparing them for bodybuilding competitions. Since 2019, Steven has guided hundreds of individuals toward achieving their fitness and health goals.
He earned his B.S. in Clinical Exercise Science from Grand Valley State University (Allendale, MI) in 2013 and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). With more than a decade of experience in the fitness industry and six years competing in the NPC Men’s Physique division, Steven understands the discipline, commitment, and strategy it takes to build an elite physique on stage and also maintain a healthy, but achievable lifestyle.
Outside of coaching, Steven enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughter, reading, and continually expanding his knowledge within the health and fitness space. He stays active through endurance training and running, always striving to challenge himself physically and mentally. His coaching philosophy centers on building a healthy, sustainable lifestyle that enhances overall well-being and long-term performance, regardless of individual goals.
Expectations While Working With Steven:
Be transparent. Mistakes and setbacks will occur. Be honest and transparent so I can help guide you back on track and navigate to avoid those mistakes in the future. Honesty leads to progress.
Communication is key. I can’t help with what I don’t know. Since I’m not coaching you in person, things can sometimes be missed or misinterpreted. That’s why it’s so important for us to maintain open and effective communication. The stronger our communication, the stronger our coaching relationship—and the better your results will be.
Please be sure to follow the check-in guidelines and submit your check-ins on time each week. Submit your check-in form to me on time every week by 10am ET on Tuesday morning. Make sure that all of your Google Sheets are filled out when you submit your check-in. Those who show up weekly are the ones who experience the most progress.
Ask questions frequently. One of my primary goals while we work together is to educate you. The more questions you ask, the more you’ll learn—and the more trust we’ll build. I’m an open book, so don’t hesitate to ask anything. I won’t sugarcoat things; I’ll always give you honest, straightforward answers.
Be positive. This lifestyle journey is your decision. Don’t look at this coaching program as punishment. See it as a needed lifestyle change for the better. Remove expectations. Trust the process, put in the work and results will follow.
